Messe Frankfurt expands its portfolio in Central Asia with the launch of Bautrux Astana

A new international exhibition for construction machinery, specialized vehicles and construction technologies will be held jointly with Comtrux Astana from 9 to 11 June 2027 in Astana.

Messe Frankfurt is expanding its portfolio of exhibition projects in Central Asia and announces the launch of a new brand — Bautrux Astana. The exhibition will become the successor to Eurasian Construction Technology Astana, which has been held in Astana since 2025.

The first edition under the new Bautrux Astana brand will take place from 9 to 11 June 2027 at the International Exhibition Center EXPO in Astana. The organiser is Business Media Central Asia (BMCA), the official representative of Messe Frankfurt in Central Asia.

The rebranding of ECT into Bautrux Astana reflects a new stage in the development of the exhibition platform and its integration into Messe Frankfurt’s international portfolio. The new brand will bring together the sectors of construction machinery, specialized vehicles, construction technologies, equipment and solutions for infrastructure projects.

Bautrux Astana will be held jointly with Comtrux Astana, the international exhibition for commercial vehicles and road logistics solutions. Both exhibitions will take place at one venue — IEC EXPO Astana — creating a unified professional space for the construction, transport, logistics and infrastructure industries.

This format will give exhibitors and visitors broader access to related markets, allow them to present machinery and solutions in an integrated format, hold business meetings and establish contacts with a professional audience from Kazakhstan, Central Asia and other countries.

The 2026 exhibition, held under the ECT brand, confirmed the sustainable development of the platform. Across 8,963 m² of exhibition space, 147 exhibitors presented their products and solutions, the exhibition welcomed 2,786 industry professionals, and representatives of 22 countries took part in total.

The launch of Bautrux Astana comes amid active growth in Kazakhstan’s construction and infrastructure sectors. Large-scale projects are being implemented in the country in housing construction, transport infrastructure, industrial development and logistics. The market is also gaining additional momentum from Kazakhstan’s growing role as a key link in the Middle Corridor between China and Europe.

“By launching Bautrux Astana, we are bringing construction machinery and equipment into the same consistent international portfolio approach that we have built for Comtrux and Automechanika. Kazakhstan continues to position itself at the heart of the Middle Corridor, while the country’s steady investments in housing, transport infrastructure and industrial construction make Astana a natural home for a specialized international platform of this scale,” said Michael Johannes, Vice President Mobility & Logistics, Messe Frankfurt GmbH.

“With the launch of Bautrux Astana, we are giving the construction sector a brand that reflects the current level of development in the region. Central Asia, and Kazakhstan in particular, has become one of the most active construction and infrastructure markets on the continent. Under the Messe Frankfurt licence, the launch of Bautrux is another well-considered step in building a portfolio in Astana that international companies can rely on year after year to do real business with the entire region,” added Anuar Malik, General Director of Business Media Central Asia.
