2026-07-28 09:39
Kazakhstan continues to strengthen its position in the commercial vehicle manufacturing sector. Starting from the fourth quarter of 2026, Hyundai Trans Auto is expected to begin producing up to 500 VOLVO trucks annually. The announcement was made by the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yersayin Nagaspayev.

According to the Minister, the new production facility is part of the national strategy to develop domestic manufacturing and increase the localization of commercial vehicle production. In addition, other major projects are underway, including the launch of electric truck production by Barys Truck Manufactory in cooperation with the Chinese manufacturer XCMG.

The expansion of truck manufacturing reflects the steady growth of Kazakhstan's commercial vehicle industry and creates new opportunities for manufacturers, component suppliers, service providers, logistics operators, and transport companies.
